The materials and support I have requested will be utilized to promote community building within our classroom, increase my students pride in themselves, build their self-esteem as learners, and maximize positive interactions between community members.
Donating to this project will gift young students of color opportunities to see themselves, their families, and their peers reflected in our every day learning - a luxury those in the racial majority often take for granted.
By utilizing the materials donated my you, my students will be support and embraced by those like them throughout history and in today's world. The last year and a half has been extremely difficult for all of us, but those experiencing food and housing insecurities, racism, and abuse have not stop experiencing those hardships just because there is a pandemic. Please do what you can to support our classroom in building future leaders and loving those students who are struggling in other situations. Thank you!
