My students are predominantly English Learners who are above 18 and are continuing or coming back to school so that they can earn their high school diploma. I work at Fairfax County Adult High School in the Washington, D.C. area. Ninety percent of my students are English Learners. mostly Spanish speakers though I do have students who speak other languages like Farsi. My goal as their English teacher is to encourage them to follow their dreams and to not let others silence their voice.
