If funded my project will create individual articulation kits and provide needed materials for effective speech therapy in person or through distance learning. Creating individual articulation kits for each of my students to use during speech therapy will not only provide needed materials for my students to use in their homes but also once we go back to 鈥渋n person鈥 school it will allow me to keep things in my speech room disinfected and clean. Some of the materials they need for speech therapy include playdough (making tongue models to teach placement for all sounds), mirrors (students can visually see articulators for learning placement), straws (teaching the /s/ sound), Dental Floss Picks (teaching the /r/ sound), Balloons (teaching /r/ sound) Squishy toys (teach tension for /r/ sound) among many others.
