Imagine the "Littles", I call them, holding an instrument made just in their size. Chords easy to play, strings softer than a guitar and songs they can sing now with their own personal accompaniment. Orff instruments are a huge success in our school district because it is hands-on. Using their senses and filling their day with happiness and joy which is the memory side of our brain. Let's give these students of all ages an opportunity to play this ukulele with percussion, bells, and singing. This is a sure-fire way to want to come back to school and learn to know they will be a part of an ensemble of joy and building leadership, coordination, creativity, problem-solving and ultimately, improved test scores. It's the "in" thing and I have seen success with these instruments in all ages of children. Let's give them this opportunity in our school. Thank you! Lisa
