Students spend more awake hours at school than they do at home. My classroom is a place where students feel safe and feel free to advocate for what they need.
A charging station for students' phones will limit distractions during class. It will also keep them fully charged for when they need them at the end of the school day on their commutes home. Many of my students require visual material to learn. The projector that we were using fell off of the table and is no longer in working condition. This has made things difficult for our visual learners to get a grasp of the material. A new projector would provide them with the tools they need to better understand the curriculum.
My students rely on me to have items for learning as well as snacks when they are hungry. Having snacks will assure that students are able to focus on their learning and not on hunger. The fuel that snacks provide gives students the boost they need to stay on track through the end of the school day.
