My students are made up of many nationalities and socioeconomic levels. Some have all their needs met by their immediate two-parent families and some are being raised by relatives because of issues such as drug use and jail. There is a wide variety in between these extremes as well. Even with that said, the culture here values family greatly, and most students live either with or nearby their extended families. Our school is multicultural with the most predominant nationality being Filipino, though there are also Japanese, Marshallese, Hawaiian, Samoan, and Caucasian students. Our campus is very beautiful, with views of the Hau'upu Mountains and Mount Wai 'ale'ale. The students respect their space and treat it well.
