Our middle School robotics team just finished up their competitive season and is looking to give back to the little ones in the building. During our end-of-season reflection session they made several comments about the need for fun activities that teach kids about STEM in the early grades so they don't have to wait so long to join the school team. They talked about wanting to teach their younger siblings how to code robots and how fun it would be to serve as big brothers and big sisters to the Elementary students in the school. I am trying to support my amazing students by helping them find age appropriate robotics equipment that our first graders can be successful with. Our first graders will learn how to build robots that can solve real-world challenges using the engineering design process. They will then teach the little ones how to code their robots and use technology to make the world a better place.
