I am requesting these items to set up an awesome way to keep my kinder students motivated throughout the school year, weather it is behavior or academic. I have two motivators that I am planning to implement.
1. Desk Pets (behavior/academic)- students can adopt a mini pet (mini erasers or mini brick set) with a small habitat. They will get adoption paperwork and sign a contract they will have to abide by. They will have the opportunity to earn money through classdojo points. They will be able to go to the "Pet Shop" and purchase items to add to their habitats. Items they can earn are decorations, food, pets for their pet, beds, sleeping bags, plants, larger habitats. They will keep these habitats on their desks to keep them on task and as a buddy. If they are distracted by their desk pet, they will have to pay to take it to "Day Care" for the day.
2.Glow Parties (academic) I am planning to host "Glow" parties for certain celebrations of academic progress. Such as certain sight words learned, math facts, etc. During the Glow Parties we will have work centers to practice the skill that we are celebrating with fun glow in the dark activities to keep the interest of the students through out the year,
