I plan to create a comfortable environment that decreases the stress of daily life and the difficulty associated with reading and writing by providing a sensory rich environment. We start with fidgets and toys that students can use to help with stress, distractions, and focus. They also help build fine motor skills in the hands and create muscle needed for the writing stamina. Then we add easy to use, comfortable pencils to ease the physical demands of writing. I plan to adjust the lighting as a whole and for individual needs, provide soothing sounds and smells with the lighted speaker and fun oil diffuser. Then add the big shot machine so students can customize and texturize their paper, individualizing their work and making writing fun and inventive. Lastly, we add the ability to become a published author by using the book binder to create personal books, collections of work, and class collections.
