I am the luckiest teacher alive to have the 9 students that I have. I am the teacher in a moderate severe special needs classroom. My students are learning independence and self advocacy. In my classroom we cook, we clean, do laundry, go out in to the community to shop for ingredients and we are thankful everyday that we have together. We are currently cooking in a microwave, toaster over and a hot plate. We have old pots and pans that we purchased at a Goodwill. We would love some new pots and pans. We would also love another iPad for communicating while in public. Some students have communication devices, but not all of them do and could some extra support when in the community. These guys work so hard and will stop at nothing to make me proud of all of their hard work and I could not be more proud!
