My students are in need of podcasting resources as an opportunity to enrich my curriculum. Through this project the students of my class with use the iPad Pro and materials to create their own weekly, or bi-weekly, podcast about the topics we are learning in Science. Skills like this will be necessary for the jobs and educational experiences they have in the future. The students will use the Apple Pen to write feedback on their scripts and use the keyboard to type up their scripts for their podcasts. They need the microphone to be able to have high quality sound to match the high quality of their work in the podcast.
My students are creators throughout their learning process. Our school focuses on learning through inquiry and project based learning. Being able to create podcasts will be used as both a tool for enrichment and as a way to help those struggling learners demonstrate their learning using a different medium. As we know, not all students learn or show their learning in the same way. This project will provide many students various opportunities to create and demonstrate their learning.
