The students in my class started the school year already being economically disadvantaged and then, they were affected by Hurricane Harvey. Approximately eighty-five percent of our community was under water. With this kind of student, increasing their engagement in and excitement about my lessons is of upmost importance. One way to ensure they are successful academically is to integrate the use of technology. I plan to use these iPads as a station in our small group rotations. There are many apps and resources available that will allow me to introduce my students to a whole new world and make learning fun again!
