Students will be using the preserved frogs and accompanying dissection kits to have a hands on experience studying body systems. The specimens will allow them to practice using the materials that we have covered in class, as well as experience the practice of scientific discovery. Students will see how our bodies function and could foster a love of science and medicine. This project would significantly help my students' understanding of the body systems.
They would see the actual organs within the specimen and be able to see how they are relevant to themselves. They could be impacting the world for better. The love of Science is developed at an early age and this project could help them to find an untapped desire. In the end, they will be problem-solvers, empowered to take the skills and knowledge in their class to improve their lives and those of people around them.
