Our class is an active classroom, with many learning activities taking place at the same time. It may look chaotic, but it's productive! Kids are learning core concepts, at their pace, by participating in authentic, engaging activities. Although many of the kids come from broken families, with tough physical and emotional situations at home, they are able to advance here at school. But, due to the lack of funding in education, we need more help and resources! As one adult with an aide for part of the school day, it's nearly impossible to reach ALL children everyday on the skills each individual child needs! Adding another iPod to my classroom would help me reach my goal of having an iPod/iPad for every 2 students. This would allow them to be actively learning, and allow for me and my aide to be able to work in small groups or one on one with struggling students, to provide the support they need.
