Right now, we have just one book shelf in our classroom library. With the addition of the display bookshelf, my students will be able to choose a book quickly and more efficiently, as they can view the books that are available. I am planning on putting familiar mentor texts on display that we have read during snack and a story time. My students love to read, especially in partnerships, and this book nook with provide them with a cozy spot to explore stories. These book shelves will help our classroom library, and our brains, GROW! More shelving means more BOOKS! I will include leveled texts, Read-at-Home books, and interest picks! My students will absolutely love this new area in our classroom and I am looking forward to sharing this updated library with them!
