I have been teaching 2nd grade for 6 years at an amazing school. Our school is a Title 1 school and my students come from a variety of backgrounds. We have a high percentage of students receiving free and reduced meals and despite the often sad circumstances they may face, they come to school every day ready to learn!
My students are inquisitive, creative, eager, and always ready to learn new things.
The students in my classroom are taught from the first day of school that we are a family and we treat each other with respect and kindness every day. They are always encouraging each other and supporting one another. When one child is feeling down, there is always someone around to help pick them up!
