Chromebooks give students fast and easy access to information that can facilitate their understanding of the curriculum. Students with writing deficits can produce quality written works. Those with reading deficits can employ text to speech options through the use of head phones. Math deficits can be alleviated through the use of calculators and online conversion tools.
Chromebooks can give students with learning disabilities the opportunity to understand the regular curriculum in the way that best fits their individual learning ability. Another important reason to have Chromebooks is statewide testing, which is now online and accessible through the use of such technology. For example our Juniors are now required to take the ACT test, which will be used for secondary assessment, as well as a requirement for admission to college.
