At High Tech Middle Media Arts, my 56 incredible 6th grade students engage in project-based learning, where we use authentic, real-world projects to build our skills, expand our understanding of the world, and serve our community! In my classroom, READING and COMMUNICATING are our priorities. We ask big questions like, "What does it mean to be human?" and, "What does it mean to be part of a society?" To explore answers, we dig through literature, history, science, popular culture, and our own lives. We craft oral, written, and visual communication to launch our own voices into the conversation. We leave our mark on our community by making sure our project work serves a broader purpose. Thank you for supporting my students' amazing, professional work!
