My Students: Some clamor into the library wanting to read the latest novel and always want to know when new books will arrive. Others are more reluctant readers, who have to find just the right book to spark their interest. All of my students deserve to have new books to read. Having current literature sparks a student鈥檚 love for reading. My students are eagerly waiting for new quality reading material.
My students attend a rural high school of approximately 460 students. They come from diverse economic backgrounds and 35.1% qualify for free or reduced meals.
I've already had several ask me where the new books are or when we are getting new books. Every day I have requests for specific titles and have to explain that we have no budget to purchase materials.
