My students and I do a lot of writing in Math every day and we need help to continue doing it. We solve word problems every day in the classroom. They also write their own math word problems, but we are running out of pencils and our pencil sharpener is old and it doesn't work like it used to. Students waste time trying to sharpen pencils since ours doesn't work properly. Students end up using pencil sharpeners they bring from home but it takes time to get them all sharpened. I also do writing using chart paper but I have ran out and I have not been able to do more anchor charts. Students love to refer back to the anchor charts I create using the chart paper. With this project we will be able to quickly sharpen pencils, as well as have enough pencils to continue working in the classroom and chart paper to keep creating anchor charts for my students.
