The materials I have selected for this project will tremendously improve my students ability to focus and promote learning-style awareness.
My class contains several students with behavior accommodations. So, in order to assist their learning (and all student learning) in a traditional classroom, I would like to provide flexible seating as a viable tool for successful instruction! Because I teach Science, my students already participate in daily "hands-on" experiences. Flexible seating would add the missing piece to my classroom's flow!
If funded, my classroom could have stools for backless seating, floor desks for students who like to work away from others, and inflatable exercise balls for students who like to learn on the move. I would also add rubber-bands to the legs of traditional classroom chairs for fidgety students. Different students learn in different ways!
