These new materials will make such an impact on student engagement with a different hands on approach to writing. The LCD writing tablets will integrate all subject areas to include science, math, reading, writing, spelling/phonics, and social studies.
In Science, students will be able to record observations for an investigation, notes for an experiment or a STEM activity.
In Guided Reading groups, students will answer questions. In writing, students will write on these "Boogie Board" tablets to brainstorm ideas for the writing process. In math, they will use them to record answers to word problems from task cards and to play interactive games. In spelling and phonics, they will use the tablets to practice their weekly words and create the daily patterns in phonics from the new phonics program. In social studies, they will draw maps and practice content vocabulary.
Using these writing tablets will not only increase their writing skills, but their literacy skills, and overall academics, as well as their desire to learn!
