Every morning we start the day with our morning meeting where we take a closer look at everyday happenings (that many of us take for granted!), such as the weather, calendar, days of the week, alphabet and schedule of the day. We share a new poem with one another each week... and LOVE when we can sing along, too!
We have a very diverse population of students who are eager and curious about the world around them.
Many times, this is our student's first experience in school so we do our best to encourage a thirst for life and learning. We are a first grade ICT (integrated co-teaching) class, and we love it! We serve students with a variety of special needs and disabilities including students who are nonverbal, severe emotional disturbances, sensory integration disabilities and cognitive impairments. Our school is a Title I public school in the Bronx who always works hard to inspire and educate our students.
