My students are in need of intense intervention manipulative's and assisted technology to bridge their gap of reading deficits. The education world is changing every day, and so are the interest of my students. Students in my classroom like to read, but often with audio support as they struggle with the reading basics such as letter recognition, sound correspondence, blending and reading words. This challenge of struggling to read causes many students to lose focus of word meaning and comprehension skills.
By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement in Reading.
Students will use the Kindle tablets to access various educational applications and websites that provide audio books, voice to text writing assistance, as well as a massive library of educational tools to assist with student accommodation's in our intervention classroom. The protective cases will secure the tablets for safe use and storage.
The portable table easel will allow me quick access to a whiteboard for direct/engaging instruction without leaving my students small group table. This will allow me to keep their focus and attention. The mini-magnetic whiteboards and magnetic alphabet letters will allow students to manipulate and build words while applying a hands on kinetic approach. They LOVE touching and manipulating the alphabet! How fun! Printing activities when needed can be a challenge in a large school, therefor having a classroom printer will provide easy access and quicker available activities with the click of a button. Talk about maximizing MORE INSTRUCTIONAL TIME for our students! So exciting! So, let's make this a reality for our struggling readers. Your support is truly appreciated. Thank You!
