My students need games and activities that focus on fine motor skills that they can explore one-on-one with the teacher and/or independently during work time. Our students will use these materials to explore their ability through sorting, counting, writing and more! These activities will be used during small group and/or independently during work time throughout the day.
Your generous donation to our project will improve our Pre-K classroom by building stronger writers. My students need the tools to help strengthen their fine motor skills. For this project, I selected materials like the Gumball Grab, Tweezer Tongs and Tweezer Gator Grabber set so my students can have a successful start to building their fine motor skills. I will model to my students how to use these materials during small group. Then they will get to practice independently during work time. I currently only have long pencils in my classroom. I purposely selected the golf size pencils to fit the little hands of my students. This will support their ability to hold a pencil correctly. We will be using pencils to write letters, words, numbers and more throughout our school year. I currently have the hammering board and plastic nails in my classroom. My students love this activity so much that it is time to replace the board and get new plastic nails. Finally, we are always practicing numbers. The flip, feel and write number boards have 10 different flips with tactile numbers and a write & wipe space to practice writing. Allowing my students to experience success in the classroom will change our students' lives for the better. They will love school and feel success at an early age and having fun while learning!
