Our school's population is challenged economically and socially. My classroom is often the most stable, positive force in students' lives, and it shows by how eager they are to come to school. All our teachers work daily to provide for kids who need clothes, backpacks, and even weekly food bags. I am a co-teacher in inclusion classrooms, which allows children with special needs to learn along with their grade level peers. This is wonderful for all children, and also means that having engaging ways to grasp knowledge is more important than ever. They are unique, lovable, and incredibly capable students who have a joy for learning. We strive to meet the needs of these strong and resilient children each day. Every bit of support helps to provide for their education!
