I teach special needs high school students in a self-contained classroom. They are on a much lower reading level than their peers, so we often have difficulties finding/funding classroom reading materials for lessons on their level.
Last year, a grandparent of a student gifted our class with the Super Science magazine. I was able to use it for various science lessons throughout the school year and the students loved it! They have asked about having "more fun science in the magazines" again this year. I'm hoping that we can make this happen for them along with the Scholastic News to give them up to date news on their reading level.
