As a first-year teacher, I have limited resources for my students. The most important resource I am lacking is a well-stocked classroom library. At the moment, our classroom library is a favorite spot for the students. They love picking out a book and grabbing a reading animal buddy. They already have a love for reading and I want to be able to provide them with a variety of books so that they may continue to love and enjoy reading.
Kindergarten students should have access to a variety of books. The materials for this project will help in allowing students to see stories told in many ways. They will be able to explore new subjects and apply what they are learning in the classroom. Students will learn to collaborate with each other, as they practice early social skills. They already love talking to their friends about the pictures in the books.
Reading is such an important aspect of a child's early education. By providing these materials to our classroom, we can set up our students for success in their educational career!
