I have a vibrant class of 26 students, who are intrigued by the challenges I place in front of them. Although, materials may be few, these students always worked hard to soar above and beyond to meet every expectation that I have set before them. My school is a title one school in a district that has been considered apart of the "corridor of shame". However, we do not focus on the connotation that was given to our school's district. We focus on creating a better tomorrow for our school and teaching our students to believe in their selves. We remind our students that under pressure, diamonds are created and that hard work, does pay off. We teach our students to be independent, and to never give up on achieving their goals. Last but not least, we love our students. We encourage them each day, so they are prepared and confident enough overcome any obstacle placed before them.
