I use an online curriculum in my music classroom that introduces students to all aspects of music, including technology and digital music composition. This program offers the opportunity for them to interact with the lesson and tools via iPads, allowing the students to play educational games, compose original music digitally, and answer questions to assessments.
We are all aware of the relevance of technology in our modern age and my students deserve to have the opportunity to engage in music technology learning. While some of our students come from affluent families and are surrounded by technology away from school, many students receive government assistance and only receive exposure to technology on our campus.
We have many technological resources around campus, but are limited in the music classroom due to availability of these resources as they are needed on a daily basis in our general classrooms. An in-house supply for music will provide the exposure to music technology my students are craving and deserve to have.
