I am requesting the basic classroom supplies needed so my students can have a warm, and welcoming place on the very first day of school. These supplies include healthy snacks to get their brains started in the morning, take home book bags so they can build their love of learning, and hand sanitizer so we can all stay healthy.
As many of my students spend their evenings in transitional housing, where many do not have their own space, it is even more important that our classroom is a place they feel safe and that they can call their own; a place where they can they do not have to feel supplies are limited or poor quality.
The supplies you provide will also help ensure our learners are getting an equitable learning experience. We understand that equity is getting what you need to achieve. My students' economic background, and their families inability to supply classroom materials should not be a hinderance to their learning. Please help us out!
