My students work so hard. They want to learn. Most of them come from low income families. Many of them are immigrants, with families struggling to make it. They all come from varying circumstances. Some live with grandparents, many have 1 parent at home, some are vicariously raising their younger siblings because parents aren't at home, some have parents fighting cancer, and most have parents who don't speak English. Many have no technology in their homes and only get to experience technology at school. Despite all of these circumstances, all of them want to be smart and all of them work hard. They want to learn and they crave knowledge.
