Solar panels generate the power, landscaping is mostly low-water native plants, and there is very little paper use because most assignments are completed on electronic devices that the students bring to class. Students in this diverse community are highly motivated to succeed in school. They work hard and are respectful to each other and the staff. They keep their campus clean, and grow organic vegetables to enjoy and to donate to the local food bank. They show tremendous school spirit through active participation in school sports and clubs. For example, the Environmental Club normally has has at least 60 students in attendance at each meeting, participating in numerous environmental projects around campus and the community. This is a great group of young people who are deserving of public support.
