Over the course of the year in my class we have been learning about certain elements and principles of design and how they may be applied in an artwork. This semester we are learning the fundamentals of drawing while focusing on elements and principles such as: proportion, value, and form. We have been learning how to make drawings look more realistic and three-dimensional by creating value (lightness and darkness, shading, cast shadows, etc.) We are currently learning how to correctly draw the human body and breaking down each feature of the face, emphasizing on the importance of using constructive lines that will help give the drawing realistic proportion and form.
Unfortunately we have battled a constant shortage of supplies which has often required me to pay for needed supplies out of my own pocket. Art supplies are not cheap and the supplies that I have selected on this website such as: drawing pencils, erasers, blending stumps, drawing paper, etc. are all utensils that will be used on a daily basis in my class as we are quickly running out of them. For example, we do not have enough drawing pencils or blending stumps for everyone in the class and we are currently drawing on copy paper from the workroom. Any donations would be greatly appreciated and used immediately in my class.
Thanks!
