We are a historically predominant African-American community. A very high percentage of the students who attend this campus are selected through an open lottery conducted by our district. The campus is identified as a Title I school and the majority of the students are economically disadvantaged. Being Title 1 means the majority of the students qualify for free or reduced price meals. Students love technology and the ability to learn in a quiet and structured environment. They lack exposure to opportunities that will help them to gain a much needed skills in the field of STEM sciences.
