Hello! My name is Florangela Calderon. I am proud to be the librarian here at Charles Middle School in El Paso, Texas. Our school currently serves about 600 students in 6th, 7th and 8th grade. Most of the students at our school come from very low income, single parent families or live with a grandparent or other guardian. Many parents do not speak English, while some are in prison. A majority of our students do not have access to books, computers or internet at home, therefore rely solely on what they receive at school. Our school is at 100% free breakfast and lunch for all students. I am constantly working on improving the library for our students and every donation will help me reach the goal of creating an inviting & welcoming space just for teens. Thank you!
