I teach at an income based pre-k program in a rural community in Louisiana. Families in our program are accepted based on income level. This means that all of my students come from low-income families. These 4 year olds vary in ability and family background, but all benefit from our pre-k program. Due to recent budget cuts, there are no extra funds for classroom materials except for supply money from students. Since I teach children from low-income families, I ask for very little supply money. This is the reason why I am requesting this item for my students through the Donors Choose organization.
