We are have started our school year with distance learning, and I would love to be able to provide my new class of Kindergarteners with materials to help at home. As much as I would love to be in the classroom with them, I am going to do my best to teach them from home! During this pandemic, families are under a lot of pressure, and hopefully these learning kits will provide some structure and support at home.
I would like to give whiteboards out to my class for students to practice Chinese character writing and English literacy skills. The dry erase pockets will be helpful for guided tracing practice. The use of whiteboards and dry erase pockets will keep students engaged and having fun while learning as well as practicing their penmanship. I'd like to use the Teachers Pay Teachers gift card to purchase instructional materials that will aide my instruction and my students' learning through Seesaw. The binder rings will help keep their flashcards intact. I also plan on delivering the 3D shapes and Magna-tiles to students so they can reference tangible shapes as they do scavenger hunts around their house, making the shapes lessons come to life. And the sentence strips storage box will help me stay organized while I do guided reading through synchronous teaching to provide students with more learning opportunities.
