At a wiggly age and growing like weeds, my students like to sit and stand and move around while at their desks and the tables in our classroom. My goal of this project is to add safe seating options to our classroom that are easy to move around and don't cause distractions while in use.
The requested flexible seating items will encourage safe movement and require good posture. The "ECR4Kids 16" Contour School Stacking Student Chairs" will fit my students' bodies better than the ones we have now, which are a mix of heavy adult-sized chairs and chairs that have backs that lean back instead of helping them sit straight up. The "StoolsBouncy Bands for Elementary School Chairs" will allow students to gently bounce their legs under their desks where it's relaxing and not as distracting as other movement they could be doing instead. The "Kore Patented WOBBLE Chairs" and "Uncaged Ergonomics WSA-b Wobble Stool Air Rolling Office" stools will allow gentle, safe movement while engaging core strength. We currently have some stability balls, but are having issues with them losing air; I feel these stools will provide the same type of necessary movement and core-building opportunity. Lastly, the "Norwood Commercial Furniture NOR-STOOLBB-SO Plastic Stack" will be used as an easy, lightweight option to be able to sit at different desks and tables around our classroom, as I encourage finding their best learning spot.
We are able to find that "good-fit, comfy spot" at home, and these options will allow students to choose what seating option is the best for them as well. If you could peek into my classroom, you would see that they do learn the best when they don't have to sit still. Thank you so very much for your support.
