I teach English at a large Boston Public High School in Roxbury. My students come from all over the city to attend our school, the only technical-vocational school in the city of Boston. My school lacks the consistent funding for the supplies, resources, and books we need. My students are curious, engaged learners and thinkers. They are quick to see connections between the texts we are reading and their own lives, and, like all students, they require relevant, engaging materials and technology to succeed as learners.
