Flexible seating lets the students work around the room instead of always having to stay at their desk. It helps them be able to concentrate better because they feel more comfortable with where they are learning and working.
Seeing a student who struggles with focus being able to knock out work because they don't feel trapped at their desk is amazing! It also works as an awesome incentive program. By letting the students that are still on green choose their seating first, it can push the other students to want to stay on green also.
I have also asked for stools for my guided reading table so every student gets a opportunity to change their seating up for small group learning.
