There are 558 students at the school, and serves students from transitional kindergarten through fifth grade. My school is a Title I school, receiving special funding from the state to serve our students. 23% of the students are English Language Learners, and 48% of the students qualify for the free or reduced lunch program. The school is composed of 39% Hispanic or Latino and 38% White. I have 25 students in my first grade class. I have a mix of students from all cultural backgrounds as well as all economic backgrounds. The rich diversity in my class gives room for full and diverse conversations that take place daily.
