Students will use these resources to conduct hands on projects. They will test name brand and generic bottled water, aspirin, toothpaste, plant food, antacids, and other products for pH, effectiveness, cost, and purity. Using the lab supplies donated, such as universal indicators, students will check the pH of bottled waters, toothpastes and plant foods to check for quality products. Thermometers will track chemical properties of products as well as help indicate chemical reactions. This will help students to research, create graphs, charts, and reports to help publish their findings. The students will also present these findings to an audience of their peers.
