Some of these materials will be used for sensory time, some will be used as an alternative way to learn shapes and colors. Some of these will be used as fidgets during whole group activities. The markers will be used for some of my kiddos who need to work on their fine motor skills and hand grip while beginning hand writing. Some will be used as a reinforcement during out "first-then" picture schedules.
My students require a lot of sensory integration, and are learning calming mechanisms. We use all sorts of materials to integrate learning, play, gross and fine motor skill development, and tie in everything to social-emotional learning.
The sand will be used during centers, inside and outside. All of these materials will be appreciated a lot and used by both the students and staff in my classroom.
