This sensory garden will be designed with a purpose stimulating any and all of our tactile, auditory, and visual learners. The moss, flowers, and stone will appeal to the students sense of sight, and touch. The butterfly station will be used to teach the life cycle, give students responsibility, and a visually calming space.
The sensory garden as a whole will be a calming place for our students to enjoy and learn! It will provide an additional opportunity for our children to go outside. Not only would our special education students benefit from a sensory garden, but ALL students could use it to engage in a calming place within our school community!
