I spend a lot of time working with my students in small groups. Small groups is great way to meet individual academic needs. The tablets will be a great addition to my small group style of teaching.
The students will be able to listen to stories while I am working with other students.
This will help my low academic and ELL students build their vocabulary and reading skills. Reading books is the best way to build vocabulary because writers use a variety of descriptive words in their stories that we do not use in every day conversations.
Many of my students are not read to every day so this is a great way for my students to receive some of the same benefits as those students who have parents that read to them.
My students will be very excited to add this to our small group lessons.
