We all have a story to tell and there is real power in the retelling. There is healing power, there is inspirational power, and there is growth power. The students involved in this project attend alternative school. The high school students choose to be here for a variety of reasons. The elementary students have had teachers/advocates/parents select this environment for students whom they believe will benefit. While it is true that every student has a story, the student in our school have especially poignant ones to tell. Art and music are often comfortable forms of expression for students. This project gives them the opportunity to tell their story, the choice to share it, and the resources to create an epilogue or a sequel to what has been.
