I teach a 3rd grade class of up to 30 students in a low-socioeconomic urban community in California. In fact, 88% of children in our school have been identified as socioeconomically disadvantaged. Our student population is 68% Hispanic and 24% are English language learners who struggle with reading. They are in great need of opportunities that provide career paths in the new technological world.
My young scholars are full of energy and excited about communicating and collaborating with their peers in STEM and PBL-based learning experiences.
