Hi! I teach 7th grade math at the Brooklyn School for Collaborative Studies (BCS) in NYC. BCS is a 6-12 Expeditionary Learning school - meaning we believe students learn best when they are engaged in meaningful and relevant projects and investigations (or as we call them- Expeditions). My co-teacher and I work hard to bring these investigations into our classroom - but making math meaningful and relevant for 7th graders is a constant challenge, and we need all the help we can get! All the projects below were created with this goal in mind and we are grateful for whatever help you can provide!
