Our poor, old sensory table has seen better days- it's currently being held together with duct tape! Our students love to explore at the ever-popular sensory table, but we're not sure how much longer ours will hold up.
Mixing, scooping, and sorting is just the beginning of the fun to be had at the sensory table. Sensory table time often becomes social play! Taking turns, sharing, and responding to peers are just some of the terrific social skills we observe when students engage with sensory materials. Children with social, behavioral, or communication delays are often highly motivated to engage while at the sensory table. Sensory play is always more fun with friends!
